Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Mayor Tom Ryan.
Council members present at roll call: Mr. Morrison, Mrs. Smart, Mr. Williams, Mrs. Edwards, and Mrs. Beyer. Also present, Mark Mosley City Manager, Theresa Barkhimer City Clerk, and Glenn Sharpe City Attorney.

Mrs. Beyer made a motion to approve the consent docket as submitted, seconded by Mr. Williams. Aye’s Mrs. Beyer, Mr. Williams, Mr. Morrison, Mrs. Smart, and Mrs. Edwards. Motion passed. The following items were approved:

Minutes

1. Bump outs: We would like to discuss maybe later about just putting sod down in the bump outs and then putting flowerpots around each bump out. Would be better on maintenance and look better coming into main street.
2. Water Plant: They are starting to move dirt at the new water plant site. We have yet to set a ribbon cutting date, I will let everyone know.
3. City Hall: We have completed all of City Hall on the remodel. Later on, when the Election board is out of the offices, we will work on the new conference room and the council/court room. The reason we didn’t do the floors in the council room is when we remodel the room we will put carpet down.
4. Upcoming Dates and Events:
Labor Day is September 2nd. Offices Closed.
September 7th – Barking Waters Music Festival Downtown.

Discussion and possible action to discuss personnel employment with the possibility of going into Executive Session O.S.S. 307.B.1

Mrs. Edwards made a motion to go into executive session at 6:35 p.m., seconded by Mr. Morrison. Aye’s Mrs. Edwards, Mr. Morrison, Mrs. Beyer, Mr. Williams, and Mrs. Smart.
Mr. Morrison made a motion to return to regular session at 7:26 p.m., seconded by Mrs. Smart. Aye’s Mr. Morrison, Mrs. Smart, Mrs. Beyer, and Mrs. Edwards.
Mr. Williams left executive session and did not return to regular session.
No action taken by council.
