The meeting was called to order by Mayor Tom Ryan at 6:05 p.m.
Council members present at roll call:  Mr. Morrison, Mrs. Smart, Mr. Williams, Mrs. Edwards, and Mrs. Beyer.  Also present, City Manager Mark Mosley, City Clerk Theresa Barkhimer, City Attorney Glenn Sharpe.

Mrs. Edwards made a motion to approve the consent docket as submitted, seconded by Mr. Williams.  Aye’s Mrs. Edwards, Mr. Williams, Mrs. Beyer, Mr. Morrison, and Mrs. Smart.  Motion passed.  The following items were approved:
A.  Approval of minutes from meeting held December 14, 2023
B. Approval of Treasurer’s report from meeting held December 14, 2023
C.  Approval of Department reports from meeting held December 14, 2023
D.  Purchase Orders from meeting held December 14, 2023

Minutes

A.  Thursday, January 11, 2023, will meet at the Senior Citizen Building at 9:00 a.m. trying to set a new board that will be more active.
B.  January 11, 2023, we will be doing a water loss audit for DEQ.  DEQ will be down helping with the audit.  This is something DEQ has requested.
C.  January 11, 2023, will be opening bids for the Water Treatment plant at 2:00 p.m.  We will need to have a special council meeting probably the next week to approve the winning bid.
D.  January 11, 2023, will be a ribbon cutting for the new Jr. Hight school at 4:00 p.m. After that there will be an open house to tour the new building.
E.  Monday, January 15, 2023, is Martin Luther King Day.  Offices will be closed.
F.  January 23, 2023, Congresswoman Bice’s office will be in town to discuss Wewoka’s needs.
G.  Tuesday, January 30, 2023, will need to have a special council meeting to approve the winning bond bid.
H.  February 13, 2023, will be an election here at the Civic Center so we will need to move the Council Meeting to another date.

Mrs. Edwards made a motion to move February council meeting from Tuesday February 13, 2024, to Thursday February 15, 2024, due to Ward 2 election, seconded by Mr. Morrison.  Aye’s Mrs. Edwards, Mr. Morrison, Mrs. Smart, Mr. Williams, and Mrs. Beyer.  Motion passed.

Discussion and possible action to appoint Carolyn Trimble to the Wewoka Library Board.

Mrs. Edwards made a motion to appoint Carolyn Trimble to the Wewoka Library Board, seconded by Mrs. Smart.  Aye’s Mrs. Edwards, Mrs. Smart, Mr. Williams, Mrs. Beyer, and Mr. Morrison.  Motion passed.

Discussion and possible action to approve agreement with the Seminole County Election Board for office space rental during the courthouse renovation.

Mrs. Beyer made a motion to approve agreement with the Seminole County Election Board for office space rental of $500.00 per month plus $100.00 per day usage of Civic Center during the courthouse renovation, seconded by Mr. Morrison.  Aye’s Mrs. Beyer, Mr. Morrison, Mrs. Smart, Mr. Williams, and Mrs. Edwards.  Motion passed.
