A. Water Plant has been approved to be on the agenda in December on the OWRB for approval of the loan for the water treatment plant. We need to get started because the bid is well over 120 days and the contractor is ready to get started.
B. City has been approved for the 2024 REAP Grant. It was for $100,000.00 and it will toward dirt work for the water treatment plant. We will also be filling out paperwork for another CDBG grant that will be for $650,000.00.
C. The GO Bond passed. The timeline on the next steps are December 14th the City Council will authorize notice of the sale of the bonds, January 30, 2024 will have a special council meeting, the City Council will receive bids for resale of bonds and authorize issuance of
bonds, February 6, 2024 submit transcript of proceedings to Attorney General Office, February 8, 2024 preliminary approval by Attorney General and start 30-day contestability period, and March 12, 2024 close bond issue.
D. Police department is doin saturation patrols throughout the community with several agencies. They are looking at Holdenville and Seminole as well. Police feel like they have arrested most of the subjects that started this whole mess.
E. House Bill 2259 has changed a lot of how our court system will work now. We are asking our legislators to amend some of the restrictions that this bill has added to our court system and police department.
F. Boys and Girls Club have received a grant for $500,000.00 to house the homeless kids that are in our school system. The ceremony will take place later this month in Topeka, Kansas. Records show that out of 650 kids we have 103 that are homeless that is 16%.
G. The grant for putting roofs on houses there have been 9 completed and they are waiting on reimbursement then they have another 10 houses that have qualified. They will get started on those 10 after the 9 have been reimbursed.
H. The Department of Commerce has approved our request for extra funding for the AC/Heat units that went over budget. As soon as all the paper work has been filled out and uploaded into their system we will be able to start. They hope it will be tomorrow or Monday.
I. We have ask to be at the next FACT meeting that will take place in February. FACT agenda puts everyone with capability of funding infrastructure projects in the same room, we still have the water treatment plant, sewer project and the Dam project.
J. November 17th is the Seminole Nation Museum Bazaar, November 22md we will have an employee’s luncheon at 12:00 for Thanksgiving, November 23rd is Thanksgiving and the offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, December 4th is the Christmas parade, Studio 102
will dance at 5:00 p.m. and the parade will start at 6:00 p.m, December 21st is the employees Christmas Party at 12:00 at City Hall.

Mr. Morrison made a motion to come out of executive session at 6:53 p.m, seconded by Mrs. Edwards. Aye’s Mr. Morrison, Mrs. Edwards, Mr. Williams, Mrs. Smart, and Mrs. Beyer.
Mrs. Beyer made a motion to open up the position of City Attorney for applications and Mr. Sharpe can re-apply for position of City Attorney, seconded by Mrs. Edwards. Aye’s Mrs. Beyer, Mrs. Edwards, Mr. Morrison, Mrs. Smart, and Mr. Williams. Motion passed.
