Meet Your City Council
The Wewoka City Council is the legislative and policy-making body of the city government. It consists of a mayor and council members elected by the public to represent them, all dedicated to representing the best interests of their constituents and the community as a whole.
The City Council’s primary responsibilities include enacting city ordinances, approving the annual budget, setting policies, and appointing the City Manager.

Ward One
All that part of the City north of 5th Street and east of a line beginning at the intersection of 5th Street and Seminole Street; thence north to 1st Street; thence east to Okfuskee Avenue; thence north to the city limits.
Ward Two
All that part of the City lying west of Ward One and east of a line beginning at the intersection of 5th Street and Seminole Street; thence south to 6th Street; thence west to Ocheese Street; thence south to 7th Street; thence west to Mountain Avenue; thence north to the city limits.
Ward Three
All that part of the City lying south of Wards One and Two, east of Ocheese Avenue, and north of 9th Street.
Ward Four
All that part of the City lying west of the western boundaries of Wards Two, Three, and Five, extending to the city limits.
Ward Five
All that part of the City lying south of 9th Street and east of Mekusukey Avenue and Warren Drive, extending to the city limits.
City Council Meetings
The City of Wewoka encourages all residents to participate in their local government. City Council meetings are open to the public and provide a forum for Wewoka’s residents to stay informed and share their input.
